LGBTQ+ Neurodiverse Community Engagement Group Roundtable

January 24 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm EST

Join us for Out & Equal’s LGBTQ+ Neurodiverse Zoom Roundtable. Roundtables provide a safe and enriching environment for folks with like-identities to form deeper connections and share common challenges and individual stories.

Neurodiversity is all about recognizing and celebrating the natural diversity in how people’s brains work. It’s the idea that differences in things like autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other neurological traits are just part of the natural spectrum and diversity of human brains. Instead of seeing these differences as problems to be fixed, the neurodiversity concept encourages accepting and respecting them. The focus is on creating inclusive environments that value and support the strengths and contributions of people with diverse ways of thinking.

Navigating both neurodiversity and LGBTQ identity can present unique challenges and offers an opportunity for increased understanding and support within both communities. Embracing the intersectionality of neurodiversity and LGBTQ identities promotes a more inclusive and compassionate workplace that values the richness of individual experiences.

You can also request to join the private LGBTQ+ Neurodiverse LinkedIn Group here.

*Community Engagement Groups are a safe space for folks of like-identities. It is essential for connection and dialogue that you self-identify with the group that you are attending. Currently, Community Engagement Groups are open to employees of partner companies, trusted community organizations and non-profits and Federal Government employees.
