Solvay LGBTQ+ Alliance

The Solvay LGBTQ+ Alliance is responsible to develop a culture of inclusiveness and acceptance of LGBTQ+ employees within the company.

We want to create a vibrant worldwide network of LGBTQ+ employees who are committed to one another’s success and to attracting exceptional LGBTQ+ individuals into the Solvay community.

We mobilize support and visibility for LGBTQ+ employees at Solvay, advocate for LGBTQ+-related policies and recommendations, and enhance LGBTQ+ inclusiveness across the Group.

We create a network of support where members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community can speak up in a psychological safety environment and share their experiences so we all can learn, unlearn and relearn.

Goals:

• Build an internal support community at Solvay for LGBTQ+ staff and allies.

• Advocate for LGBTQ+-related policies and recommendations for improvement.

• Enhance LGBTQ+ inclusiveness across the Group.

• Support Solvay as a place that attracts, supports, respects, and retains talented lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer and transgender professionals.

• Create an environment where all people can develop and grow to their full potential.

• Build confidence and promote leadership behaviors in LGBTQ+ employees.

• Promote a cultural change within Solvay towards the LGBTQ+ community by sharing the LGBTQ+ history, terms, struggles and rights.

• Be a resource for Solvay employees and managers to provide guidance and awareness to LGBTQ+ related topics.
