Bi+ Community Engagement Group Roundtable
April 11 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am PDT

Welcome to Out & Equal’s first Bi+ Community Engagement Group Roundtable of 2025.
CEGs offer year-round opportunities for intersectional identity groups to build shared awareness around common challenges and strategies and inspire each other through individual stories.
The Bi+ Community Engagement Group is hosted by Robyn Ochs, self-proclaimed “professional bisexual,” US-based speaker, grassroots activist, and editor of Bi Women Quarterly and two anthologies: the 42-country collection Getting Bi: Voices of Bisexuals Around the World and RECOGNIZE: The Voices of Bisexual Men. Joining Robyn is Jessica Hartley (she/her), Managing Director, Head of Design and Customer Experience and co-chair of the Global Bi+ Council at JP Morgan & Chase Co.
In addition to experiencing many of the same challenges faced by lesbian and gay people, bi+ people are often rendered invisible due to binary framing (gay/straight), and face many negative stereotypes. In the U.S., 58.2% of LGBTQ+ people fall under the “B.” Although the number of self-identified bisexual people is growing, Bi+ people experience unique challenges in their identity, such as imposter syndrome, hypersexualization, and fear of being misunderstood. This CEG aims to hold a safe space for feelings and experiences of the group, make new connections, and collaborate on solutions for a more inclusive and equitable community.
It’s why safe places like Out & Equal’s Bi+ CEG are important. Through these vital support networks, which are centered on community and open dialogue, individuals can feel seen and validated. They can tap into and build the strength that lies within to show up authentically at work, advocate for themselves and others, and thrive.
This CEG is available for O&E partner contacts and companies and community and non-profit organizations. You must self-ID with the group.
